The ECG Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University

The ECG Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University is a comprehensive department integrating medical care, teaching and scientific research, which is guided by Zhong-jian Li, vice chairman of the China’s ECG Information Society and the authorized proofreader of a famous American magazine Circulation. Our department is composed of 10 staffs, including 3 chief physicians, 2 deputy-chief physicians,1 doctor in charge and 4 residents. They hold important duties in many scholarly associations, including 1 vice chairman of the China’s ECG Information Society, 1 vice chairman and 3 members of the Standing Committee of China's Electrocardiogram Consultation Center, 1 vice chairman of the TEAP Group in the China’s ECG Information Society, 1 vice chairman of Henan Institute of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing, and 1 chief expert in Zhengzhou Medical Expert Consultation Center, a branch of Chinese Medical Association. Besides, our department has 2 committee members in Zhengzhou ECG Information Society. The educational background of the whole department is above junior college degree, and 5 of us are senior experts.We actively participate in all kinds of scientific activities in the city, in the whole country, and in foreign countries; so we get excellent achievements in this area. Our department receives doctors from all over the province each year who come to the hospital for advanced study, and still undertakes the teaching of Medical School of Zhengzhou University. So, Our department was authorized one of the five esophageal electrophysiology training centers in China, one of the three ECG master training sites in China, and the national and provincial training base for CME. Our department has strong scientific research capabilities. We host 18 scientific research achievements and projects, and lead the way in domestic China. We have published more than 340 professional papers in SCI, national core journals, and all kinds of professional academic conferences on ECG. At the same time, we compiled 16 monographs and achieved two national utility model patents in the name of the first patentee. Our director, Zhongjian Li, was invited to deliver a lecture on the ECG used for body identification in China Space Center in 2009, and organized to participate in the 17th World Congress of Cardiology in Beijing and the 14th International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology in Russia. As a famous and popular professor, he has been invited to be a member of presidium on many national and international academic meetings since 2007.Our department develops many advanced experiments. For instance, the 12-Lead ECG, head-chest lead ECG, fetal ECG, VCG, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure, cardiac electrophysiology, hypertension typing system. Some are purchased respectively from America and Japan, some top the big hospitals in Henan, and some are firstly introduced or the one and only in domestic China.

The target of EMC:To insist the eletrocardiology road of Chinese characteristics,to make Chinese eletrocardiology career go onto the world stage, to communicate, fuse, promote and develop with the international colleagues.
The mission of EMC: To build an academic, psychological, cultural, and leisure platform from different angles for ECG workers , that is a platform to exchange work experiences, to talk about life,to relieve stress and to fly the happy mood. Meanwhile, to build a bridge for patients to accept treatment and health education, and a bridge for ECG manufacturers and ECG experts to communicate together.

    Electrocardiology Medical Center,Henan,China(EMC) was formally established in August of 2012, approved by the health department of Henan Province, according to"Regulations on Administration of medical institutions "and " management and measures for Administration of medical institutions of Henan province".The work of EMC mostly is dependent on the ECG Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. The team of EMC is made up of ECG experts in Henan province.The mission of EMC is to build an academic, psychological, cultural, and leisure platform from different angles for ECG workers , that is a platform to exchange work experiences, to talk about life,to relieve stress and to fly the happy mood. Meanwhile, to build a bridge for patients to accept treatment and health education, and a bridge for ECG manufacturers and ECG experts to communicate together.
     The ECG Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University enjoys a high visibility and influence in the world. In 2010, Professor Li zhongjian, the director of Electrocardiolgram Department,was invited to act as the special reviewer of America Journal Circulation . In January 2013,One of the editors of "Journal of the American Heart Association",Joseph A. Dr. Vita, invited Professor Li Zhongjian to write articles for the magazine.At the same month,he was invited for scientific cooperation research at the invitation of America Atlanta Georgia State University. Professor Li Zhongjian respectively participated in the "World Congress of Cardiology " in both 2012 and 2013. In 2013and 2011, he participated in "international dynamic electrocardiogram and noninvasive ECG Society Conference" in Romania or Russia respectively. And he takes the lead in publishing the monograph such as"practical Cabrera lead ECG", "the nurse practice ECG tutorial" .
   The EMC sets up five committees: ①the clinical expert guidance committee, ②director and deputy director of the committee, ③the secretary general committee,④the Standing Committee, ⑤the committee. The EMC sets up characteristic mechanism and develop characteristic activities: ①esophageal cardiac electrophysiology training center, ②ECG network consultation center, ③mental health counseling center, ④website, ⑤salon, ⑥foreign exchange, ⑦news propaganda, ⑧legal adviser and so on. Salon held regular Association (Cara OK, chess entertainment, tourism activities),to let everyone work and live in a pleasant, modest atmosphere. The EMC also holds English salon regularly, international exchange and all kinds of academic conferences, to broaden our horizons. News propaganda center,which is responsible for foreign propaganda, holds regularly health education for patients in a big classroom, manufacturers and medical experts face to face communication activities.
     The EMC was settled in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, marking that our hospital has entered a new stage of development, including the level of teaching, scientific research and clinical in Electrocardiology. The establishment of EMC is of great significance, it fully affirmed the cardiac electrical work in our collegethe by the health department of Henan Province.It will promote the cause of Chinese electrocardiology further rapid development.

4.The sub committee assessment service qualifications of EMC
4.1 The assessment service qualifications of vice chairman: (with more than one item)
①He/she should act as at least the vice chair of the position in the provincial medical association;
②He/she should be master's tutor of the ECG of profession;
③He/she should be high professional title of ECG, and head of the Department of hospitals, (with influence in the country, the province);
④He/she should have establish municipal electrocardiology treatment center and act as chairman of the municipal committee;
⑤He/she should have achieved the national outstanding workers or subtropical high title of electrocardiogram and be the ECG Contest National Top three;
⑥He/she should be the graduate of ECG major, and be above subtropical high title.
4.2 The assessment service qualifications of the Standing Committee’s member：
4.2.1 He/she should be the director of ECG department of municipal hospital or above. (He/she must be the first charge in the department and upload the office documents of the hospital ).
4.2.2 He/she should have more than two following conditions:
①The subtropical high title of ECG profession;
②the Province Medical Association member position or above;
③The intermediate title of ECG profession in provincial hospitals;
④He/she should has established sub-committee in the county and act as the chairman; ⑤He/she should have won the national excellent workers in ECG;
⑥He/she should have top three in the national ECG contest;
⑦He/she should be the graduate of ECG major, and be intermediate title (municipal hospital above).
4.3 The assessment service qualifications of commitee member: (with more than one item)
①He/she should be the director of ECG department of county hospitalor above. (He/she must be the first charge in the department and upload the office documents of the hospital )
②He/she should be subtropical high titles of ECG profession(it fits all levels of hospitals);
③He/she should be a medical doctor of the cardiovascular department;
④He/she should be a master of ECG major.
5.The rights and obligations of the members
①We take dynamic management method:The employment duration is two years and can be renewed;
②We will inform everyone about the annual event with Fetion, public websites or E-mail.Whoever absent without any reason or leave for twice , will be considered to give up the relevant committee duties automatically.
③Whoever want to publish professional ECG papers,will be helped for the recommendation and modification;
④We provide free consultation for all members,and the information can be searched through EMC website. The consultation will be held through public mailbox.
